Cookie policy
Plural keeps this short: by default we only use storage that the site needs to work. Anything else stays off until you allow it.
Change cookie settingsWhat we mean by cookies
Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. Similar tools, like local storage, do the same job. This policy covers all of them, and we call them "cookies" for short.
What we use
Essential (always on)
| Name | Type | Purpose | Kept for |
|---|---|---|---|
plural-consent | Local storage | Remembers your cookie choice so we don't ask again. | Until you change it or clear your browser |
plural-signup | Local storage | Keeps the details you typed into the beta form on this device, so the form remembers you. | Until you clear your browser |
plural-pending | Local storage | Holds a waitlist sign-up that couldn't be sent (for example, you were offline) until it goes through on your next visit. | Until it is sent |
plural-ref | Local storage | Remembers the invite link you arrived with, so the friend who invited you gets credit when you sign up. | Until you clear your browser |
Essential storage doesn't need your consent because the site can't work properly without it. It never leaves your device unless you submit a form.
Analytics (off unless you allow it)
We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which parts of the page help people decide. It only loads after you choose "Allow all" or switch analytics on in cookie settings, and ad features are off.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Kept for |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Cookie (Google Analytics) | Tells one visitor's visits apart, without saying who you are. | 2 years |
_ga_* | Cookie (Google Analytics) | Keeps the current visit together. | 2 years |
Our host, Cloudflare, also counts page views on its servers without cookies or anything stored on your device.
Advertising
None. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Third parties
Fonts and code on this site are served from our own domain, so visiting it doesn't send your data to font or code CDNs. Our host, Cloudflare, may process your IP address to deliver the page. If you allow analytics, Google receives your visit data as described above, as described in the privacy policy.
How to change your choice
Use cookie settings at any time; the link is also at the bottom of every page. You can also block or delete cookies and local storage in your browser settings. Blocking essential storage may mean we ask for your choice again.
